This is one of Palwal’s most distinctive local festivals — held annually in memory of Lord Balarama (elder brother of Krishna) who, according to local tradition, defeated the demon Palwasura here. The mela takes place at and around the Dauji Temple (near Municipal Office Chowk) and attracts many devotees and visitors.
